The BIT Session and NNC Launch in the UK went well. It was refreshing to see people outside the shores of Nigeria benefiting from what is going on back home - we had fun, laughed out loudly, and shared wealth creating opportunities that are currently open to NNC members. Being in the UK has also provided it’s own set of learning opportunities, I’m getting to better understand the system here - transport and financial. How things work, what works, what doesn’t, and the best ways to make the most of this environment. Having said that, I’ll be coming back to the UK for another BIT session on the 27th of September, 2008. And thought the first was good, the second is going to be better!
While I was in the airport in Nigeria, I got a brainwave I have been nursing since then. With every passing day, the idea has developed a little more flesh and a little more flesh. Right now, I believe I have a great idea, that will put smiles on the faces of thousands of Nigerians, and the Nation at large. The idea is hot and sizzling, and you can’t afford not to be part of the first set of people to hear it. One thing I can guarantee though is that no one present for this meeting will regret it, in fact, many will be forever grateful they made the date.
I’m sure you are wondering… don’t wonder, come for Nigeria’s first ever Bloggers Conference, and get to see how we together establish the Nigerian bloggers industry and make it profitable. Blogging is very important, for many reasons. It makes us have more non yahoo-yahoo presence online, it gives us an opportunity to own the online media and develop it like Radio or TV. It gives us a platform to have a voice, to take on advertising opportunities and do everything that current media channels do. There is a lot of untapped potentials in blogging, and as you all know, no man lifts a heavy load on his head with just one hand, and a broom stick is harder to break than a broom bunch. We have a great chance if we come together!
For this reason, we’ll be having two Nigeria Bloggers Conferences. One will be in Nigeria and the other will be in the UK. The certain date for Nigeria is Sunday September 21, 2008 - The tentative venue is Sheraton Hotel Ikeja Lagos. To confirm your membership for this event please click here and register. The other UK event will tentatively be on Sunday, the 28th of September, 2008 in London, venue TBD. The timing and venue for the UK event is tentative, and dependent on how much interest we are able to curry before this date. I will be in the UK for BIT on the 27th of September though, so it’s very very arrangeable. If you are interested in attending a UK one, please comment here or send me a mail.
The objective of this meetings will be to launch a Blogging Industry and to empower Nigerian bloggers. If Nigeria will indeed by the most desirable nation on earth in 17yrs, then our writers and media better be creating those possibilities. We’ll be agreeing standards, defining basic advertisement prices, blogger fees, recognition, carnivals e.t.c. I’m sure there is a lot I haven’t even thought about already, it will be great to push them across as further suggestions for meeting agenda, you can also suggest speakers - We’ll get them, we have some already. At the end of this meeting, we’ll get to know ourselves, create a super network, and get to hear first hand about an opportunity that greatly empowers any blogger or blogger wannabe. If you have ever thought about owning your own website and have postponed it till today, this meeting is a must attend for you!
Those who can read the signs of the times, know that something is going on underground in Nigeria. It might not appear like it on the surface, but the signs show that change is here. The foundations are being laid, not by the government, oh no! Those that seek salvation from the government, beware, do not be caught off guard like those who sought for a Messiah with military power and capable of leading the Jews against Roman power. The change we seek will not arise from government. It will arise on the demand of the coming together of individuals. People are at the heart of every reformation, people. Not government, not politicians, people, you and I - mere citizens.
The first occurrence in the process of creation is the saying of words that will lead to change. The entirety of creation started, with God said, and when he said it, it was written! Let’s come together, and create!

Advertorial: I currently in UK for BIllionaires in Training (BIT) and NNC Launch. If you are interested in hooking up with me, my number is 07939114327. We’ll be meeting at “2nd Floor, Kingsway House, 103 Kingsway, Holborn, WC2B 6QX”. We’ll be meeting there from 10am to 5pm. We’ll also be discussing great opportunities to invest back in Nigeria and make cool returns. I’ll be back in Nigeria in a matter of days, so if we must see, this meeting is a good place to make it happen. We’ll also be having a follow up meeting for 1-2hrs on Sunday as well.
To the average young man, the concept of peace connotes a boring stillness that is only desirable by the old. Young people don’t really desire peace, they desire thrills! I’m a young person too, and even though I knew theoretically that peace is the ultimate virtue humanity seeks, I still battled with the definition of it. Is peace a stillness? Is it the absence of trouble, tempest or storm? Is peace the period between two wars? Is it a child in the peace of a manger while the sea troubles the waters? I discovered lately, a definition of peace that rocked my soul, and showed me what real peace was. It also made peace desirable to both the young and the old.
Peace is not the still, the calm or the trouble free. Peace is the character that results in those qualifications. Peace, I discovered, is the possession of adequate resources! Peace is a state of mind that you manifest, when you are confident that there is sufficient to take care of whatever is coming. I’m sure this sounds like blasphemy already, how can peace be hinged on possession? Before you perish the thought, let’s look together at a few thoughts that I learnt last week.
In the Business Man
In business, the difference between intense anxiety and serenity is nothing other than the possession of adequate resources. The factor that makes the difference between the sleepless nights in business, and the long vacations, is the fact that there is adequate to take care of the cares and concerns. In the lifespan of any business, there will always be things to contend with. In fact the way humans are built, if all is well, we are likely to pursue things that are bigger than us. The direction of growth is the direction of more. Once we get comfortable with the Islands we have discovered, we are likely to launch into unknown territory. The attribute that differentiates entrepreneurs is the confidence generated by peace. The knowledge of the fact that there is sufficient in possession that is adequate for every need. It can indeed be capital, and it can be more than capital.
in those days where things are dark and it’s not certain that daylight will come, in those seasons where the great tomorrow seems to stretch too far and today takes too long, in the times when capital is low, and there is not much to fall back on, that is the time where the business man needs an inner peace, a conviction that there is adequate! The multimillionaire also is fortified by a similar substance, he frets not, not is bothered, because he knows also, that there is adequate to meet all that is necessary.
In the Creative Genius
The creative Genius is characterized by his ability to move from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm. While many of the average human worries a lot about daring, about wasting, about running dry, about not having a better yesterday, there are this select minority of people who seem neither worried or hurried, but act with an inner peace. This inner peace for them as well, is characterized by an understanding that they have adequate resources. In the film “Goal” featuring a star athlete - Santiago Munez, a comment was made by the agent that found me that caught me off guard. He said, the reason that many old players beef the new young ones is because, the old players have stopped experimenting, they are trying to maintain their spots, hence they only try what they are sure will work. The young athletes however experiment a lot, discover new possibilities and are likely to outshine them. The major difference of these two mind sets is that one is at peace and the other is not. One is working with an understanding that there is adequate skill to chart new territories and the other is limited. Creative geniuses are in every walk of life, they are not worried that their cruises will run dry, the work from a confidence that there is adequate. If they are musicians, they are not pursuing lengthy lawsuits on piracy, they are waxing new albums, if they are pastors, they keep producing content and let it go, if they are teachers, they don’t hoard knowledge, if they are bloggers, they just bring it all on and make it available for all. Creative geniuses give, they create, they grow, they know that there is adequate in the head to take care of whatever need there’ll ever be.
In Jesus Christ
The bible is full of too many examples of where Jesus displayed that he was at Peace. Is it in sleeping in the eye of the storm? is it in sitting still in a wedding where the wine had finished? Is it in the quiet stillness in the face of many challenges and storms? Jesus operated of a realm of total control, he knew, that he had in him adequate resources to handle anything. He was never helpless, never expressed fear, never panicked, hurried or worried. He was always on the ball, he operated a relationship with the father that made him not in a hurry. He took the stance of one who had watched the match and knows the scores. No fear, no fret. Jesus was master of situations and circumstances. He had peace, in sufficient doze to share with us all. His word says.. My peace I give unto you…, not as the world gives… Jesus gave us a convicting confidence, that is sufficient to last us through any storm in this life.
Peace is the possession of adequate resources! In any realm of life where we are anxious, fearful, fretting, worried, hurried, in doubt, in haste, frustrated, and out of peace. We need peace, a conviction, that there is adequate resource - Mental, financial, social, emotional, spiritual… to meet the need!
The day we have absolute calm on every side because of lack of wind or storm, is one of our last days. Let your peace be more from within, than without.

Some wonders are currently being performed on the Nigerian Stock Market, so the blood flow might be halted for a while, please read this before you take action! So you know the right time to exit. Particularly for speculators.
MARKET UPDATE- EMERGENCY GOVERNMENT INTERVENTION TO BOLSTER THE STOCK MARKET
At the meeting which the Federal Government, the CBN, SEC, NSE and bankers organized in order to restore investor confidence in the nation’s capital market, the following new proposals were agreed namely:
1. Share Price Limits: Daily price fall limited to 1%; Maximum price rise still 5%
Implication: Prices will fall at a slower rate now than before when stock prices could fall by a maximum of 5% in a day. Thus, a stock would have to fall by 5% over a week to have the same effect as before when a stock could fall by as much as 5% in a single trading day. In other words, a stock will have to fall by as much as 1% per day over 5 trading days before it can have the same effect as the previous rule whereby stocks could fall by as much as 5% in a single trading day. Hence, this new rule will bolster the value of share prices on the NSE, prevent severe share price and market declines.
2. Margin Facilities: All margin facilities with banks to be restructured for longer repayment period in order to prevent forced selling by banks which is the current cause of the downward slide in the market.
Implication: The banks are required not to carry out forced selling of margin portfolios. However, the banks will work out a repayment arrangement with the client in order to salvage the client’s portfolio from market losses if this proposal is adhered to by the bank, the existing forced sale driving the fall in share prices will cease, leading to a rebound in the stock market.
3. Share Buy-Back: Quoted companies will be allowed to buy back up to 20% of their stock.
Implication: Outstanding shares of quoted companies will reduce, leading to reduction in the supply of shares and upward movement in share prices.
4. Liquidity: CBN has started taking measures to improve the liquidity situation in the economy.
Implication: The improvement of the liquidity position in the economy will be a catalyst to drive business revenue and an expansion in the national economy. The release of N1.2 Trillion (US$10.2 billion) will exert pressure on interest rates, as
interest rates are bound to move lower thereby causing the cost of borrowing to be cheaper. With cheaper cost of funds, trading volumes on the capital market are bound to increase as money market yields become lower in comparison to stock market yields.
5. Transaction Fees: NSE, SEC and all capital market operators have all agreed to reduce their fees.
Implication: The reduction in transaction fees will drive more volume on the NSE which will inevitably lead to share prices moving upwards.
6. Government Intervention Fund: The Federal Government will set up an Intervention Fund to strategically intervene in the capital market when panics and crashes occur during times of crisis.
Implication: The market will rebound once the FG Intervention Fund is used to purchase a large amount of stocks in the stock market. The fund will also help restore investor confidence.
7. Market-Making: Rules on market-making to be rolled out; and modalities to be worked out with banks to fund market-makers
Implication: Market makers will be required to take up excess supply of stock in the market and they will also supply stocks during times of scarcity. The effect of this new proposal is that price equilibrium and stability will be created and investor confidence will be restored in such equities held by investors.
8. Curbing New Listings: The NSE and SEC to curb new listings on the stock market until the market stabilizes.
Implication: The liquidity squeeze in the market will stall as private placements and new offers will be kept on hold until the market has recovered and investor confidence has been restored, thereby preventing capital flight from the secondary market to the primary market for new listings. Thus, share prices will move upwardly rather than downwards as a result of this proposal.
In summary, net effect of the proposal is that market may rebound soon.

Michael Jackson Lyrics Blood On The Dancefloor Lyrics
Do you know any better way to describe the current events on the Nigerian Stock Exchange? I don’t. I don’t know of any more graphical way to paint the picture of what is going on in the Nigerian Stock Market right now! I think Michael Jackson got the phrase right, “there is blood on the dance floor”. Reading the lyrics of that song in detail, it even amazes me that the girl that spilled the blood was a one night stand Now parallel that with being a speculator rather than a long term investor in today’s market. If you look at it that critically, you might see Michael as a prophet :). You come to the dance floor to enjoy, to let you hairs down, to celebrate… and you are about getting into the groove, and you see a splash of blood, you are shocked and everybody panics, is this a drink, ketchup or someone’s blood? You look around to see the source, and then the whole club spots it all at once, there is blood on the dance floor, and the blood, is yours!
It wouldn’t amaze any avid stock market investor now, that people have started committing suicide. People have lost millions, some billions in this “market correction”, and if it was only money that was lost, one might not be so bothered. The average person has already lost about 50% of his capital in this craziness, and the end is yet to come. Many who have a normal penchant for taking higher risks, by using the bank’s margin facilities in this market, are crying - sorry, weeping! Week after week, I have studied different opinions on what was causing the land slide of share prices and where hope lies, and honestly it got to the point where I figured it all out. I not only figured it out I figured out what to do. I’m sure you are wondering what exactly that is?…Read on.
1. All, I want to say is that, they don’t really care about us!: It didn’t take me long to discover that all the dailies, all the expert perspectives were very wrong. No one can put their fingers on what exactly is the 20% that is responsible for 80% of the downturn. I have watched the experts change from it’s foreign investors, to it’s lack of margin facilities, to it’s the change in share price movement indices, to it’s the banks even end of year, to it’s Yaradua and his influence or lack of it on the economy. Please let’s relieve pap of it’s tribal marks - pap doesn’t have tribal marks ( e ko ila kuro leko, eko kan o kola) or as my Warri brothers will say, “let’s leave story for tortoise”. All we have been fed is one story gradually migrating to the other. But of course what can you expect? There is no information source to the market that is currently not also in the market. Everybody is offering wishful, hopeful and anticipatory information, no clear direction! Fundamental or not, everything is going down right now :). And how I love the analysts, I have even seen some of their well thought out bar charts, but ask yourself when listening to them - “Isn’t it easy to study a trend in it’s history and come up with postulations based on it? Here are the facts the way I see it. a. This market is not coming back up in less than 6 months, except of course the government goes to hire people to consistently pump money into the market like Abacha did to keep the value of the dollar constant. b. Investor confidence has been shattered by too many inconsistencies in policies - me too c. Some of fundamentals that support local businesses are being eroded, power is still unfixed (don’t be deceived by what is happening currently, it’s the rain :)) it’s not 2yrs, and Obasanjo is already looking like a Messiah. d. The down slide, is not over yet.
2. She says I am the one, but the kid is not my son! That seems difficult to judge doesn’t it? If she says you are the one, she probably has a reason, if you say the kid is not your son, you are saying it didn’t happen in your watch, how do we really know until we can do a blood test. That’s also true of the market, everybody has been dodging - what do we do? But we don’t have to wait until the house falls on us before we run. We don’t have to sleep with Billy Jean and wonder whose kid she’s having. Here is my own 2 cents on how to handle the present predicaments. a. If the money you are playing with belongs to the bank. RUN! Sell it off and return the banks money now! You have lost, live with it, and move on. If you don’t the loses are not likely to reduce for the next 6 months, and the bank may pressure you to sell later. If you wait, it’s a gamble. b. If it’s all your money and you are bereft of ideas on what else to invest in or do with money, stay and lick your wounds, it’s not forever. Like they say, you don’t lose until you sell. c. if you know other things you can invest in, that can make you as much as 40% in the next one year - move and come back later, when the dance floor is not so red. Don’t move into one thing as well, move into 2-3 things. Not diversifying is why you are where you are now
3.Beat it! Well, that’s not advice for everybody, that’s my own personal direction at the moment. It means to scram to run away. We need to run away from everything that has falsified what real investment is to us. 100% gain per annum is not normal, the reason why we waited in the market this long, most of us, is because we are used to seeing it double and triple. Wonderbank syndrome, is what I call it. In this day and age, people still frown at proper small time returns. The 3million plus I made in 3 weeks in this same stock market, I lost in 3 months, doing what? Waiting… waiting for it to pick up, waiting for the banks to have different end of year, waiting for margin trading, waiting. Why? It can turn around. Don’t get me wrong, I am diversified, in fact, what I have in the Stock Market is small compared to what I have else where, but even that can be better spent. I have a friend offering me a 45% guaranteed on a real estate project he’s doing, I’m taking it. I have another friend offering me 60% or more on a PPP with the Lagos state government, I took it. I also have a novel concept guaranteeing me of a minimum of 30% with potentials of up to 80%, I’m doing it. All in all, I’m beating it, now, before my nett loss surpasses my nett profit. And if for you it has, learn the lessons and forget the details. If you can’t stay without the funds for the next 6 months to 1year, then beat it!
What I have written is not the encyclopedia or dictionary of how it must be done, they are my opinions based on my play in the NSE and what I have observed. The market is in perilous times, and we should not all be caught in it. I was tempted to start this off in the old style of Nospetco, how much longer… and say NSE, how much longer? But we all know the answer to that now, don’t we?

I’m currently in Ilorin, for my younger sister’s wedding, and ultimately for an NNC Launch in Ilorin. It’s been a busy week as always, a little bit busier, but there have been plenty to give God thanks for.
One of the greatest lesssons I have been learning in the last few months is about gratitude. I thought I knew enough about gratitude, just as many of you also think you do, but in the last few months, I have discovered that I know only a little sketch of the power, purpose and priviledge in being able to show gratitude. I don’t know what kind of life you are living today, are you happy? Are you complaining? Are you getting frustrated about something? Are you afraid or scared? Are you confused? Are you losing patience? Are you in trouble? If you are any of these things, you might have gotten into them for many reasons, but there is one sure way out, and understanding the power of gratitude and unleashing that power is one sure way out.
I’ll like to lay a fundamental premise first. That there are two reals of existence, there is one realm that is seen, and there is another realm that is unseen. The Christian or Muslim will tell you that there is a spiritual world and a physical world. The scientist also alludes to this a bit, by acknowledging the possibility of a 4th dimension. The scientist knows by experimentation and research however, that the basic building block of every organism, dead or alive is energy, and this energy is unseen. In other words, either we go via the channels of religion or via the channels of scientific thinking, one thing is sure, there is a seen world (frame of existence) and there is an unseen world.
Secondly, I’ll also like to establish what happens when we desire something and decide to pray about it. The desire is birthed in the thought realm, which is an unseen realm. Your thoughts(unseen) aggregate together to form a desire(unseen), that you offer in prayer to God (unseen). The moment when what you send to God (unseen) is recieved, God immediately credits you with that desire (unseen). This is the reason why in so many instances in the bible, it is stated clearly that whoever asks is given, whoever seeks finds and whoever knocks gets openned doors. In other words, God answers in kind immediately. Interestingly, the bible also alludes that at times, God answers before we ask. In which case the desire is a manifestation or legal tender to secure the existence of what already has been given. In the same way, looking at it scientifically, all physical substance is made of the same raw material called energy. Each atom, element or molecule is made up of energy levels. The birthing place of all that is seen and physical, is unseen and spiritual.
Haven laid this foundations, let us then try to go as quickly as we can into the subject of gratitude. Since we have agreed that there are two worlds, and we have agreed that the all mighty God has not storage space for prayers, but answers them as soon as he hears them (the bible says the confidence we have in approaching God is that he hears when our prayers are in line with his will, and once we are assured that he hears, we are assured that he answers. The bible also says it is He that works in us to “will” and to “do” according to his good pleasure). It means then, that the only challenge we have as humans is not in recieving from God, but it’s is a challenge of bringing that which exists in the spiritual to the physical. What we really need to learn, is how do we make manifest (root word means to bring out with the hand from unseen), how do we convert energy to substance. How do we cause communication between the two worlds. This is where the challenge is!
There is only one way however to convert spiritual reality into physical reality. This one way is called different things by different people who discovered it by practice. It’s the ability to take position in reality as if what you know you have that is unseen is already yours. This is called “make believe” by some and called “faith” by others. It is living as though what we asked for is already ours. In order to live like this, there two key behaviours that are crucial. One is gratitude, and the other is giving.
In order to live like you already have what you have desired, asked for and believe that you have, you need to live a life of gratitude and generosity. You literally need to sing praises, wear a positive demeanor, speak positively, be thankful, share what you have with others, give to worthy causes and sow into the lives of others. Behaving like this, will bring you to a state of mind where you will gravitate naturally to the last activity, meeting or idea that will make it happen. See, everything you desire and have secured currently exists in an unseen form, and is waiting to become reality in a process that will involve a unique meeting, a new idea or an acitivity. This process is refered to also as harvest. It is the process in which that thing you desired comes to you.
What I have tried to do is lay the foundation for the basis for gratitude and giving, I’ll expantiate more on this in future articles as I am graced.

Last week we started on a very interesting topic - Numbering our days. We established that it requires wisdom - application of knowledge to calculate the numbers of our days and to chose the appropriate steps to take. Since this is a continuation article, I advice that you read the Numbering 001 before you continue so you can get a full picture of the entire article.
If you have ever read the stories of how God instructed Noah to build the Ark, or Moses to build the Ark and Temple or Solomon to rebuild the Temple, you will see that God is very precise, and has unique reasons and purposes for everything that he specifies. I have covered numbers 1-6, so Now I will start from Number 7
7: The Number seven stands for perfection or divine and complete work. It’s like 6+1, man plus God = Perfection. Seven is one of the most symbolic and frequently used numbers in the Bible. God completed the work of creation in 7 days. There were seven churches referred to in revelation, seven spirits of God in Isaiah, seven times around jericho and seven trumpet sounds before its fall. 7 beatitudes, 7 deacons, seven fold ministry, e.t.c. Because of the divine nature of 7, the devil also imitates this at times in 7 unclean spirits, te returning of the 7, the dragon with 7 heads, e.t.c.
8: The Number eight is a direct derivative of 7. It is 7+1 and signifies a new era. The beginning of a new era, after the seven has been completed (lev 22:7, Ex 22:30). Lepers are reinstated after the eight day (lev 14:10). Circumcision on the 8th day, means new life with the covenant. From the eighth day, when the firstfruit sheaf was waved, the seven sevens were counted; and on the 50th day or “Pentecost” (the eighth day after seven) a new era began (Lev 23:11; Lev 23:15-16; Act 2:1). The number 8 is similar with the number 50, because 50 is 7times7 plus 1. From Noah’s Ark, Eight souls left after the 8th day, it was the beginning of a new era for mankind.
9: Nine has not identified meaning on it’s own, but can be derived from other numbers. It can be derived from 3times3, 4+5 or 10-1. 3by3 is 3 twice, that’s completely complete, 4+5 is balanced grace, and 10-1 is God’s hand work without him. By derivation this is God’s gift. God’s gift to mankind is the Holy Spirit. There are 9 fruits of the holy spirit, which is the manifestation of a life that has God on the inside. It demonstrates God’s grace in it’s most balanced way, and is shows God as a gift, not as the giver. I believe that nine is the number of God’s gift. When tithe is taken out of anything we are given, 9/10 is what we have left, and that’s God’s gift.
10. The number 10 I believe is God’s signature, requirements or handiwork. The tithe is 10%, the commandments are 10. The plagues in Egypt are 10. The tabernacle, temple and New Jerusalem have 10 as the prevailing figure in measurements. In Jesus parables about God’s kingdom, he speaks of 10 virgins, 10 talents, 10 ciites, e.t.c. In a number of places as well, the number 10 had to do with some trials or punishments. Jacobs wages were changed 10 times, Daniel and his colleagues were placed on a special diet for 10 days to prove their absainance from meat, the saints in revelation are tested for 10 days. These show that God’s hand is in the midst of the trials that we face, and he works out a greater weight of glory in them. He instructs that we praise him with 10 stringed instruments (ps 33:1,2). 10 is the age you are required to have known and memorized all of God’s requirements.
11: The Number 11 also has no identified meaning, but it’s occurrence in the dimensions of different aspects of the temple of God. There were 11 curtains for the covering of the tabernacle. The porch in Ezekiel had 11 cubits as breath e.t.c.give it relevance. The most outstanding value for 11 however, is the number of disciples of Jesus. This shows the possibility of the number 11 standing for a special team that has the capacity to drive worldwide expansion. There were instances also where Jesus needed the 11 disciples to witness something so that there can be strong worldwide witness. 11 can be derived in this way from 7+4 i.e. perfection + worldwide expansion. 11 with a (1)leader equals 12, which is the number of Godly administration. 11 then is a number of discipleship, followership and worldwide witness. (This is an example of how to derive)
12: The number 12 is the number of God’s approved leadership and administration system. It’s also known as the number of the church. The 12 tribes; 12 Elim wells; 12 stones in the high priest’s breast-plate; 12 shewbread loaves; 12 patriarchs; 12 apostles; 12 foundation stones; 12 gates; 12,000 furlongs of New Jerusalem; 12 angels (Rev 21:16-21; Rev 12:1). Twelve squared and multiplied by 1,000, the symbol of the world divinely perfected, gives 144,000, the sealed Israelites (Rev 7:4). 12 is the age around which Jesus understood that he must be about his fathers house, it was around the same age when David was anointed, and the age around which Joseph had his first dream.
The Numbers, 13-19 can be derived, so are many numbers in between. In the next article, I’ll be writing about the decades, 20,30,40,50,60,70 I’ll also be talking about 100, 300, 1000 and the other numbers in the bible that have relevance and can be used to number our days. After the next few articles, we’ll together take on a project, maybe Noah’s ark, the tabernacle or the ark of God, analyze the dimensions and get insights into what God was communicating to our generation. If you watch my language, I am not being absolute, these are things I have discovered by learning, and some of them I have experimented and found to work. It is by reason of use, that we have our senses developed to know the difference between what is good and what is God. Until you prove them yourself, have a nice time learning.

I have written this post once before now, and somehow the internet misbehaved when I wanted to post it, and I had no back up. Well, the Yoruba’s say that the house of a king that gets burnt only beautifies it. I guess the fact that I have to thank you again, will only make my thanks sound better.
I want to use this opportunity to appreciate everybody that has added value to my life in one way or the other. I want to thank everybody that wished me well in this new phase of my life. For all the text messages, the emails, the facebook walls, gifts, presence, prayer and goodwill e.t.c. I sincerely express my heartfelt gratitude. Thank You.
A wise man once said, that anybody that pauses to understand life will observe that the highest life lived is that spent in the service of others. The best use of money is to use it in blessing another. The best use of talent, of skill or value is in service. Thank you for being so ever supportive. Thanks for making my days and making my years. I appreciate and celebrate you for the years gone buy, and I welcome you with me into the years ahead. Thank you!
One thing I have done regularly for the last 17yrs of my life, is never to have a birthday where I don’t understand God’s gift and desire for my next level. I regularly seek his face, and ask for what he desires of me. His word says that if earthly men can give good gifts to their children, how shall God, our heavenly father, not give good gifts to his own children. He share his gift with me, and because you are joined with me, it’s applicable to you.
I declare over your life as it was declared over mine - “What God will do in your life this year, will dazzle you! If you think you have it figured out and can project how blessed you will be this year, you don’t, because God will come into your picture and pleasantly shock you! If you think you have been favoured by God and man, you don’t know what favour is yet, this year you will get to experience God’s favour! God will make you great, make you famous and you will be a blessing to others! God will bless those that bless you, and put a curse on those that harm you! You will bring things forth from your inside that will have global relevance! God will keep you free of fear, he will defend you and greatly reward you! In your journey this year, you will not know a better yesterday, your every today will be better than yesterday! Look around Nigeria, set your eyes on Africa, visualize the world, ask of God and he will give you what your eyes can see, and raise people through you who will lead nations. Only get up and take action, make yourself available, bear the marks of God, obey and do what is right.
Thanks again for all you are to me, thanks for believing in me, for supporting me, for making me feel appreciated, for all! “Eni ba dupe ore oni, a tun ri omiran gba”- He who gives thanks for today’s blessings, is qualified for another one. Thank you!!

On Monday the 4th of August, 2008. Barack Hussein Obama and I will be celebrating our birthdays :). He is older by 16yrs.
While I have had it in mind to post an article titled Barack Obama and I for a while, I have not given much thought to what the content of the article will be. Haven thought about it now though, I believe there is a lot I can learn from Obama, with 16yrs ahead of me, and an enviable present, there is a lot that I can learn from him, and there is a lot you can learn too.
1. Your background is not the reason why your back is on the ground.
Barack Obama did not have the most fantastic of backgrounds. His parents seperated and finally divorced when he was age 2, his father was able to return from Kenya on a visit before dying from a car accident in 1982. He lived in a Honolulu with his maternal grandparents, in Indonesia with his step father. Black Kenyan decent, Indonesian step father, these do not sound like the background of a now formidable presidential candidate. I don’t have great backgrounds as well, and like Obama, I’m ensuring that my back doesn’t stay to the ground!
2. Show up for the big fights
The contest between Obama and Clinton was that of an underdog against an established and formidable force. It’s the fight between a David and a Goliath. Big fights come for everyone, some of us run away out of fear, some of us stay and fight. It’s the big fights that you stay for that will bring you to prominence. Never run away from big challenges, problems and issues. Face them, and seek solutions. When on account of God’s name, a 13yr old shepherd boy decides to face an unchallengeable and undefeated Goliath, history is about to be made. Listen out for that problem they say is bigger than you, make sure it’s for a good course and stay and fight. Today I’m regularly picking up fights bigger than me. Maybe in 16yrs time I also can campain for president of Africa
3. Leverage on the Internet
Obama leveraged on the internet to clinche the Democratic Parties ticket. Obama was able to break records in the amount of money he raised for his campaign - $58m in 6months ahead of primaries and $36.8m in one month in 2008. He started a blog, became popular online, raised money for his campaign all on the wings of the internet. I’m currently doing the same thing, maybe in another 16yrs, I’ll have perfected the art. What about you? Are you living like the internet is useful, or you are merely using it for checking mails and chatting on facebook? The internet is your own private PR tool, leverage on it. The world is now flat… but to someoene who doesn’t use the power of the internet, it’s not.
4. He didn’t just arrive, he had a history of doing good.
Many of us think, when I become this or that, i will do this and that. Don’t wait until you become, look for opportunities to do good today. His profile shows that he’s been on the board of a number of foundations and sponsored a number of positive initiatives. What are you doing? Are you a part of NNC? Are you volounteering to lead? Are you participating in anything that can become useful in the future as some history? Dont’ just arrive, get your story rolling.
Yeah, so Barack Obama and Adeolu Akinyemi, are celebrating their birthday’s tomorrow, take this as an invitation to join us. Join us, not for just the day, but for the journery. Get your back off the ground, show up for big fights, Leverage on the Internet and Don’t just arrive!
Thanks.
