Went to the motherland for a three week visit and returned a short while ago. I had been away from Nigeria for 8 years before this trip, and within my stay had quite an eventful experience...and I mean eventful with a capital E.
In between a bout of food poisioning, a stay at the emergency room while being administered 2 vials of drip while fighting for my life, and a persistent sinus infection at the end to cap it all off that I relunctantly took back with me to the States, I managed to squeeze in some moments of fun that made my trip worthwhile. Yea, unbelievable, but true.
After leaving Nigeria and returning to the States, I suddenly have a new appreciation for America and everything that surrounds me. Like the older folks say "America is good" and they are absolutely right. No armed robbers awaiting you on the highway, no need to muscle your way through traffic in Lagos, no overpriced goods and services that are all "IMPORTED" and so render them unaffordable to the masses and the list goes on. Suprisingly, I returned with my skin glowing, lost a little weight and felt renewed and refreshed. GO FIGURE! :)
I always plan to update this website with fun pictures from my honeymoon, pictures of the wedding and now my visit to Nigeria, but I keep getting side-tracked by more pressing events around me.
Of course, I have to cater to my husband so he comes first now over my blog. I'll do my best to update when I get some free time.
Love u lots
