Well, I have had a whirlwind of a time. I have been to Nigeria (yes!) and back. Oh, that was so much fun. Didn't care too much for the intense heat that left me so lethargic but it was good to see my sisters and their kids, my grandmother and other family members. I didn't really spend a lot of money I think but I enjoyed spending what I had. There is nothing like spending without a care. Made new friends and reconnected with old ones.
Unfortunately I fell ill too. I had an ear infection and a cold that is still lingering on. People still ask me if I have a cold when I talk. But still .... mmm, mmm, mmm I had such a gooooooooood time. Its terrible to be so far from loved ones
My little side hustle is coming to fruition as I have bought my first SUV that I will be shipping to Naija. My brother-in-law was quite excited about the car business cos he is a car fanatic. So next week or so, I will be going to Nashville to the person who ships cars and send it off. I feel pretty excited.
I don't want to work for a paycheck for ever. I want money saved up, a nice home and ability to help people financially. But I don't want to work forever, seriously.
I have another side hustle on my mind but let me see how this one fares first then I bring out the next deal.
Well off I go to my world of P-Square, 2face etc. Just chilling with my naija cds.
Stay blessed, lala

Wow, I never thought I would be such a sporadic blogger. I guess in some ways, I not quite willing to go the route of complete openness and honesty (not that I need to anyway) but at the same time, I don't want to tell unnecessary lies to people to make my blog interesting or whatever. I really hate that.
So I just blog whenever. I will officially be 32 today. Am I happy? I am, probably would not have really remembered if not for family members telling me. You know there is a joy, a lightheadedness about living life on your own terms. One thing about high school is that it made me strong enough to follow my own heart.
So today I find myself really happy about the majority of my choices because I go to bed with a clear conscience and sleep well. All the things I have achieved are things I WANTED to achieve. I still thank God I did not follow people's suggestions to be a nurse, to marry so I could say I married at 24, 25 or whatever. When push comes to shove, who really cares what age you married at????? All that will matter is "Are you happy?
I'm not saying marrying later always equal hapiness but I'm saying marrying because you have met "your heart" and going to school for something you really want will take you much further than following some "mythical to do list" Married at 21 .... check, became a medical doctor ... check, had 10 boys and one girl .... check. Bull crock!
If that works for you, hey I'm down with you but guess what, its ok to marry at 35, its ok to be a freelance journalist, its ok to decide to not have kids. Bottomline, your life has to work for you!!!!!
So whats the point of this long spiel? Just wanted to say happy birthday to myself I guess :) :)
Love you guys Lala

Wow, its been a while since I blogged. Since then I have a new job, new love and new outlook on life. Last year had its ups and downs but I still thank God. Met wonderful people, achieved a lot of things and I'm still raring to go. Some things I need to work on even more like my weight and my chronic procrastination. Oh my God!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so freaking lazy. Example : I renewed my licence a week to the expiry date. Imagine if I had run into problems renewing it, what would I have done??? I still haven't applied for an american passport and I became a citizen more than 6 months ago. I have to work on these bad habits seriously. But other than that, I do not have much complaints. One thing I want to do this year is go for a masters in public health. But I need to save up a little money and take care of a few other things before I go back to school but its on my mind and my workplace will pay for it so thats a motivation right there. Well I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year. May this year bring you much joy, love and happiness. Amen. Stay blessed, guys.
